About
Letters to Guyana

Our Mission
Letters to Guyana is a diaspora-led project dedicated to raising awareness of Guyana’s rich cultural heritage and the people keeping it alive today. Focusing on collecting historical archives, highlighting Guyanese artists, and fostering discussion with community members on religion, culture, advocacy, and more.
Guyana has one of the largest emigration rates in the world, leading to a large disconnect between the land and the diaspora community. This project was born from the necessity to bridge that gap and create more opportunities for global Guyanese people to feel connected to their culture and inspired to get involved in its politics and advocacy.
